And then Came Monday Morning / Win a Free Detox Foot Bath

It’s been awhile since I’ve updated on the ReThink plan. I have lost 13 pounds so far, but these have come with quite the mood swings. Many people told me that the first week is the hardest…and it was!! I was miserable, and then come Monday morning (exactly one week on Hcg) and I feel completely different. I don’t feel as tired throughout the day and hunger is almost non-existent.

Last week, during the hardest part I actually ended up in tears. It was Thursday night and I was making my sister’s birthday cheesecake. It was hard doing something that I love (baking) and not feeling into it. I was getting frustrated over little things and stressing out. Then Nathan and I needed to run an errand and as soon as I was in the car I was crying. The stress of it all got to me, and I broke down. I wondered why I was doing this, and kept asking my self, “shouldn’t you just like the way you are?”

I have to remind myself that this isn’t about image; it’s about how I feel. I don’t feel my best, and I really don’t want to continue putting food in my body that I don’t need and/or isn’t good for me. This process was an opportunity to feel better, look better, and eat the way we are supposed to.

I can tell myself these things over and over again, but the voices in my head that helped me get to this weight, and level of unhealthiness haven’t stopped talking. Evenings are still the hardest part of the day for me, although so much easier than I ever thought they could be. This is when I would have consumed most of my calories for the day. This is taking some self-control, which unfortunately I don’t always have. I need suggestions for ways to distract myself so that hopefully I can change my thinking on this matter. I am starting to see how food is really an addiction for some people, me included.

My weight the past few days as come to a plateau, and Thursday I will talk to Justin at ReThink to discuss why this might be happening. I also get to do my first footbath while I am there. I am such a dork; I have been looking forward to this footbath thing since I started. Of course we will be filming and so you’ll get to join in the fun.

  3. I have been looking around unknownfilms.com and really am impressed by the good content here. I work the nightshift at my job and it is so boring. I have been coming right here for the previous couple nights and reading. I just wanted to let you know that I have been enjoying what I have seen and I look forward to reading more.
