Peeping Tom (1960) | Monday Movie Review

London Tribune - “The only really satisfactory way to dispose of ‘Peeping Tom’ would be to shovel it up and flush it swiftly down the sewer, even then the stench would remain.”

Primer | Monday Movie Review

Right from the start Primer dives in with a lot of dialogue between four or five characters. Some fast talking back and forth quickly lets me know I have no idea what this group of tie wearing guys is talking about.

Clink – SATO48 2010 | Monday Movie Review

For this week’s Monday Movie Review I thought it would be interesting to “review’’ the film that Megan and I made this past weekend for the SATO48 film competition. I’ll give you a little insight about what the film is about and what we went through during the making of it so if you choose to watch the film this weekend, at The Moxie Cinema, you’ll have the inside scoop.

Un Chien Andalou | Monday Movie Review

Un Chien Andalou consists of bizarre and surreal images that may or may not mean anything. I finally got around to watching Un Chien Andalou again. This is a film that has the chance of changing who you are as a filmmaker. Not necessarily in a good or even bad way but in understanding of a new way to think about film as art in the surrealism genre.

The Orphanage | Movie Review

Although I watched this movie a while ago, by recommendation of @hmarie99, I still have a really vivid memory of it. It has been a while since I’ve seen a horror/thriller that I liked as much. I watch a lot of these movies and usually they don’t come close to the quality that The Orphanage brings to the screen.

The Last House on the Left | Movie Review

Last night (21AUG09) when I got to the video store, I wasn’t sure exactly what movie I wanted to watch. I knew I wanted a horror, of course. I love horror and scary movies. Since Megan was out of town and doesn’t always directly watch horror flicks with me (I say directly because sometimes she will, but she doesn’t always look at the TV screen when “watching”)

Movie Review | Fissure Coming to DVD this week!

From the beginning of this film I couldn’t tell what to expect. I felt it was alluding to the possibility that this was going to be a horror film with its high sweeping camera angles and strange figures lurking around in the backgrounds. Then it seemed like the story was getting more odd and involved. What was I watching?! Well, I’ll say it was somewhat of a thriller, but don’t get me wrong it comes with a little twist.
